Christmas with Tristan and Anelise

Christmas with the Wickwires, Mrs. Nell, Richard, Marie and the kids, Tristan and Anelise, was celebrated on Friday night after Christmas. By the time they showed us what Santa had brought and other presents they had gotten, and then opened our gifts (after eating supper) - it was WAY past their bedtime! But they got to stay up because Uncle Stephen and Aunt Randa were there!

I forgot to get pictures of mine and Stephen's gifts...but Tristan took Stephen's gift to him and announced that it was a puzzle...immediately he realized that he wasn't supposed to tell him what it was before he opened it so he told Stephen "but you have to figure out what kind of puzzle"! It was a wooden baseball and glove that comes apart in puzzle pieces! Really cute! Stephen has it setting on the computer desk.

Marie gave Anelise my present and told her to take it to me and by the time Anelise got to me she had already unwrapped it and was handing me the box. It was some beautiful grey, freshwater pearl earrings! I put them on immediately and loved them...

We gave Tristan the movie Wall-E and two new books to read (he's a new, beginner reader). Anelise got the movie Cinderella (do you know how hard it is to find a copy of the original Cinderella???) and a box set of Disney Princess story books about the four princesses.

We decided to put in Wall-E and watch it that night and Anelise got VERY unhappy because she wanted to watch Cinderalla and Marie told her that she had to wait til in the morning because we already had Wall-E starting up...so, being told "no" on top of it being over an hour past her bedtime, I was able to get this fantastic picture of her mad and fake-crying! I laughed at her while she did it and I still laugh when I look at this picture...

But once Wall-E began, she got all into it and enjoyed it with the rest of it...she almost made it to the end before Marie took her back to her room and put her in her bed.

Just before we started the movie, we were able to get a picture of Uncle Stephen, Aunt Randa, Tristan and Anelise! It took 3 attempts to get a picture with Anelise looking at the camera! :-)
