Okay, so I'm doing terrible at keeping this blog updated lately! I do apologize to those faithful readers! I recently finished my second baby blanket (for my friend Kim) and have begun making one for my sister-in-law, Marie, and ALL my spare time has been going into that! Gotta get them done before the babies arrive! :-)
Anyway, I hope to get back to this soon!
Meanwhile, I wanted to share some photos - more "food photos"! One of my favorite things to make is this particular Monkey Bread recipe from my Bell's Best cookbook that my old roommate, Erica, gave me for a wedding gift. For those not from the South/Mississippi, Bell's Best is an old traditional cookbook with a large variety of foods in it! I also have a DELICIOUS cornbread recipe from it! My cornbread turns out great everytime (assuming I don't accidentally pick up the "all-purpose" cornmeal).
Here at the Adelicia, we are having a CLOSE OUT sale for our last few condos! I think we've gotten 15 signed contracts over the past 5 days - the sale was first announced late Thursday afternoon! That is AMAZING!!! Only 2 more left to sell!
So we are having a sales meeting to discuss our awesome response to the sale and since the girls have been running ragged since Friday morning, I thought I'd make a little treat for the sales meeting! There were lots of moans of how DELICIOUS this monkey bread was!

Chipotle Chicken Cornbread Cups!
We had a "Wii Party" at Marcus and Carolyn's Saturday night and I meant to go downstairs and get my camera out of my purse to post pics of Keli and Carolyn driving their MarioKarts and David, Brian and Stephen boxing with the Wii Nunchucks but I was having so much fun watching (and playing) that I forgot! (By the way, I am the queen of Wii Bowling!)
Anyway, since we were playing Wii Carolyn suggested that the food be party style food. I remembered that I had this recipe that I found in a cookbook from a Pampered Chef party I went to a few months ago that I've been meaning to try. I even found another girl throwing a PC party so that I could order the special PC seasoning listed in the recipe! We all loved them. They are called Chipotle Chicken Cornbread Cups! They are awesome!!!
Stephen and I ate them on Sunday as left overs...I heated them up in the oven and they tasted great "left-over" also!! I took pics of our leftovers on Sunday! This is definitely something I will make again...I just hope I don't have to throw a PC party to get my hands on the special chipotle seasoning!

By the way, this little cookbook only cost me $1 to buy...I already got my dollar's worth even if I don't make any of the other recipes...although I expect to since there are some great recipes in it! This ended up being a steal!!!!

Chrismas Photo Link
For those family memebers looking for mine and Momma's pictures from Christmas...I have added a link to our KodakGallery site that has over 200 pictures from Christmas 2008!
Just look over in the left margin for the links to other sites and there is one called "Christmas 2008". This should take you there!
It also includes our pictures from LA when we went to see Stephen's family!
I hope to eventually get a few more of these posted on our blogspot but for now...here's the quick link to all of them.
Hope you enjoy!

Christmas with Tristan and Anelise
Christmas with the Wickwires, Mrs. Nell, Richard, Marie and the kids, Tristan and Anelise, was celebrated on Friday night after Christmas. By the time they showed us what Santa had brought and other presents they had gotten, and then opened our gifts (after eating supper) - it was WAY past their bedtime! But they got to stay up because Uncle Stephen and Aunt Randa were there!
I forgot to get pictures of mine and Stephen's gifts...but Tristan took Stephen's gift to him and announced that it was a puzzle...immediately he realized that he wasn't supposed to tell him what it was before he opened it so he told Stephen "but you have to figure out what kind of puzzle"! It was a wooden baseball and glove that comes apart in puzzle pieces! Really cute! Stephen has it setting on the computer desk.
Marie gave Anelise my present and told her to take it to me and by the time Anelise got to me she had already unwrapped it and was handing me the box. It was some beautiful grey, freshwater pearl earrings! I put them on immediately and loved them...
We gave Tristan the movie Wall-E and two new books to read (he's a new, beginner reader). Anelise got the movie Cinderella (do you know how hard it is to find a copy of the original Cinderella???) and a box set of Disney Princess story books about the four princesses.
We decided to put in Wall-E and watch it that night and Anelise got VERY unhappy because she wanted to watch Cinderalla and Marie told her that she had to wait til in the morning because we already had Wall-E starting up...so, being told "no" on top of it being over an hour past her bedtime, I was able to get this fantastic picture of her mad and fake-crying! I laughed at her while she did it and I still laugh when I look at this picture...
But once Wall-E began, she got all into it and enjoyed it with the rest of it...she almost made it to the end before Marie took her back to her room and put her in her bed.
Just before we started the movie, we were able to get a picture of Uncle Stephen, Aunt Randa, Tristan and Anelise! It took 3 attempts to get a picture with Anelise looking at the camera! :-)

Wickwires Christmas with Momma and Daddy
On Christmas Eve, Stephen and I exchanged gifts with Momma and Daddy! I got new WARM sleep/lounge pants that I asked for and a shirt to match as well as towels, wash rags and hand towels to match our new white, Target, Waverly bath linens that I blogged about previously!
Momma got some dress pants with coordinated blouse, sweater and beautiful necklace that really pops!! The sweater is 3/4 sleeve so she can use it now with the long sleeve blouse under it or in the Spring/Summer with a short sleeve shirt underneath.

Daddy got new sleep/lounge pants (one pair plaid and one pair camo) and a hunter's orange cap to wear on his and Allen's hunting trips...all of which he asked for so I knew he would love them...we also gave him a Bass Pro Shop gift card - which he didn't know he was getting.
Stephen lucked up with a new pair of sleep/lounge pants...with some $ in the pocket...which he used to buy a new Playstation 3 game he's been wanting to purchase.
We had a great Christmas!!

Christmas presents...
From me, Stephen got several accessories for his new iPod Touch that he got for his birthday...some of the items were a cover/jacket for it, second set of earphones, a transmitter so we can listen to it through the car/truck radio speakers (this is his favorite present), as well as an audio cable to hook it up to our stereo system. Oh yeah, and some pears from Harry and David's. I think that's it.
Stephen bought me a new watch (16 diamonds!!!!!), since I wore mine in the ocean in St. Thomas and got sand all in it and scratched it and it had quit working that night...(I had no watch since March). Also, we bought a really nice camera in Feb for our Valentine's gift to each other (and to have for the cruise) but I also wanted a small camera that I could keep in my purse because you never know when you need a camera!!! So I got a new Canon Powershot camera! I LOVE both of them!!!

No Post lately....
Sorry, I have done a poor job posting over my holiday...I will try my best to start adding some more posts later this week (once I get my Christmas decor taken down throughout the house)!
Thank you for those that check in frequently - and again, I apologize I haven't posted lately!
